The 2010 Inaugural Minority Women Entrepreneurs Retreat

ACL is proud to announce its' Inaugural retreat for minority women who are interested in starting or expanding their own businesses. The retreat will be held at the historic landmark, Harper's Ferry in West Virginia, where great leaders, scholars, educators, lawyers, artists, and businessmen gathered in the late 1800's for the Niagara Movement Meetings to fight for the rights of people of color.

We thought it would be fitting to stand where these pioneers gathered to change the course of history and absorb the energy of courage and faith they left behind. Join us as we face our fears and plunge ahead into our destinys. We will  visit historic African American museums, vision quest on the top of the highest mountain, sharing and networking, and of course, receiving information and strategies from business owners who have found the keys to success. Our key speaker will be Stephanie Drake, president of Drake Inc., an African-American woman-owned multi-million dollar construction and real estate firm located in Washington, D.C. Ms. Drake will speak to how her vision came to life and what strategies she used to achieve her goals.
